Resources + Sample Grants

To support UBC faculty-led applications to major Tri-Agency research grant competitions, SPARC maintains libraries of CWL-protected resources and successful grant applications.

As of May 1st, researchers applying to most Tri-Agency competitions must comply with new and updated Government of Canada research security requirements.

UBC’s Research Security team is available to provide support and resources related to these new requirements, as well as to guide you in implementing best practices to safeguard your research.

Note: SPARC’s mandate is to support faculty applying to major Tri-Agency research grant competitions. SPARC is not able to support student or trainee competitions, and as such is unable to provide resources or collect or provide sample grants for these competitions.

SPARC application templates, guidelines and workshop materials for CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC, NFRF and MSHR BC competitions are available at the pages below. A CWL login is required to access these resources. If you do not yet have full CWL permissions and cannot view these resources, please send us a request and we will respond as soon as possible.

We respectfully request that these faculty resources are not distributed beyond the UBC community.
